After reading yelp reviews for restaurants around Daytona Beach, FL, I was excited to try out this place. It definitely lived up to the hype - The fish tacos were the best I've had, and the Bang Bang shrimp was great, as well. After arriving on a busy night, we were seated within 15 minutes. In the meantime, we waited on the nice outdoor furniture until we were called. The service was excellent, and I have no complaints about our server, food, and the prices. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the limited beer menu. The bar is stocked with hundreds of bottles of wine, but there were very few choices beyond the usual (and awful) Bud Light, Miller Light, etc... I was looking forward to trying the beers of local (or at least new) breweries on my vacation. A restaurant in this price range should have more selection in this area - even if the beer is bottled.

This place has some of the best crab cakes I have ever had. Not only are the cakes mostly lump crab meat, but they have two very tasty sauces to go with it. Not everything I've had has been up to par with the crab cakes, but they have been pretty good. All fish dishes come with a choice of four sauces; I personally didn't care for the warm mango salsa, but I don't care for sweet and savory to be mixed usually. The fish is better than the sides, but the salads were very nice. I haven't been too pleased with the scallops, but I am picky in that regard.

On a recent visit to Daytona Beach, I was disapointed that my favorite low budge buffet had closed down. Finally I decided to try the Bonefish Grill as I have been wanting to for some time. Suffice it to say the experience was excellent and I ate there several times during the vacation. Their chibatta bread, arrives hot and crispy crusty, with a small dish of olive oil and herbs. If you want more they'll just keep bringing it. They were quite accommodating to bring me butter (GIVE ME BUTTER!!!) The coconut shrimp appetizer is perfection. Huge shrimp, cooked just right in delicious batter. I could see having this as a light entree sometime. I had their Caesar salad, a $2.99 add-on to the dinner entree. It was exactly how I like it . . . not too vinegary, very tasty croutons, and when I asked if it has anchovies, they said it's mixed in the dressing, but offered to bring me some whole ones. The anchovies were my favorite kind: flat; and 5 of them is quite generous. Each time I went I had their Chilean Sea Bass, grilled, with mango salsa. Swoon. It is so perfect that I cannot imagine a better piece of fish, rivaling even the fish in Hawaii. It's juicy, flaky, and buttery tasting. My two dining companions both like it as much as I did. The entree comes with the veggie of the day, which was a sweet tomato/zucchini mixture. I tried the asparagus, broccoli and mixed veggies as sides on different visits. The only thing that for me was a bit less than perfect was the side veggie. The broccoli was undercooked for my palate. The asparagus didn't have much flavor and was a disappointment. Not enough so to give it overall less than 5 stars. For dessert I tried both the seasonal special Strawberry Shortcake, and the Coconut custardy pie with rum sauce and whipped cream, served warm. It tasted just like it sounds. My only regret is that there aren't any Bonefish Grills in CA.

Wow, what an awesome restaurant! I came here on a recommendation from a friend since my group was from out of town. After yelping the restaurant to make sure it was legit we came and waited about 20 minutes in the bar area before getting seating. Jessica T. was our waitress and she did a great job in providing recommendations for appetizers and entree's. We ended up ordering the Wolf fish special and also the Filet Mignon and Crab Cake. Both entree's were execellent. My steak was flavorful and juicy and the crab cake was full of large pieces of crab. It was yummy. All in all I would not hesitate to come back to Bonefish. A +

It's a chain, I know, but I love this place when we're in the area. The food is always good. The service is always good. I've never been disappointed at this location by food, drinks or service. Keep up the great work, Bonefish Ormond Beach.

My husband and I went to the Bonefish Grill in Ormond Beach, with my parents and 90 year old grandmother. We went around 4:30, so it was not crowded at all but the music was very loud. We did ask for it to be turned down and they did oblige. On to the meal, we had the calamari to begin and then my husband and I had the Imperial Longfin, which we thought was wonderful. My mother and grandma had the lobster tails, in which they were not impressed. My father had the grilled fish and he was happy. I had some of my Imperial Longfin to take home and it was wonderful the next day as well. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive without hovering. All in all, we had a nice meal and what I had to eat was dynamite.

You can tell it's a chain, and you can tell they're trying hard to make it appear it's not. The atmosphere is sort of dark and the music (which sucked) was too loud for dinner. I can look past atmosphere pretty easily if the food is good, unfortunately it wasn't here. My wife got a pretty basic Filet and she said it was definitely average at best. I got the mixed grill and paid a few bucks extra to get a Filet instead of a sirloin with mine. That would have been fine and good if I was able to eat it. I ordered it medium and it showed up cold and purple in the middle. I generally don't send food back (I'm sensitive about the spit content in my food) but I really couldn't eat it. The manager just happened to walk by and see how dinner was when I cut into it and I had him take it back. The steak comes rolling out a few minutes later, I cut into it, and its still nowhere near medium. At that point I was ready to cut my losses and just leave. No discount (I would have liked the difference I paid to upgrade to the filet I couldn't eat at least). Staff is average, atmosphere is below average and the food sucks. If you're in Daytona, skip it. Pretty much anywhere else will be better.

Food was good. Corn Chowder was amazing. Stay away from margarita both frozen and on the rocks. Stick with wine and you'll be fine.

I had to give 5 stars. This was the first time I've been to a Bonefish and I must say that it was a real nice experience. The food was great, the atmosphere was extremely comfortable and the service was amazing. I had ordered the fillet medium rare and after taking a just a bite or two (and thoroughly enjoying it), my waitress pointed out that the temperature was more medium. I said I didn't mind, but when the check came, the manager stopped by the table to say "thanks for coming in and we apologize your dinner was not perfect." With a smile I shook his hand and replied, "everything was great, it was your servers attention to detail which impressed me most." After leaving my table I opened the checkbook to find my dinner was comped! Very impressive place.

The food was excellent and so was the service. The bang bang shrimp appetizer was a big hit with everyone. I had the shrimp and scallops with the Pan Asian sauce and the au gratin potatoes...excellent. My wife enjoyed the mahi-mahi with both lemon butter and mango salsa. Both were good. But, the strawberry shortcake dessert was the best. The wine was a little pricey.
